Dean - excellent write-up on your CB sliders. They look pretty good - especially for $ 100.00!!!

Thank you Dean! I've been trying to figure out how to make sliders.

Does anyone have any pre-install pics of other types of sliders? I'm thinking about modifying this design slightly.

Truly dean, I remember when you were just thinking about them, on the EE board. My most sincere admiration. Very nice work!

Neil,

Here is a pic of the "mini-slider" I made to reinforce the sill before I put my sliders on.

Where are the pics of these sliders? I can't find them so they're probably right in front of me ;-)

Thanks for the comments. The cost is maybe a little optimistic unless you have all the damn tools. I could have bought RTE sliders and then some:)

With hindsight I might have made one small change - to extend the angle-iron all the way front to back instead of just the front few feet.

Thanks Trevor. Hopefully I'll start figuring these things out myself soon ;-)

Dean - its probably true about the tools - then again - you still have the tools, as well as practise using them and a little confidence.

Next time you start a fab project - I bet you save 75%. I've built most of my own wooden furniture and have a garage full of tools to prove it and a fatter pocket book!
