I have recently heard some rumors from a few LR people that Ford is going to try to use the new RR suspension on some of their Explorers and other 4x4s. Has anyone else heard this horrible rumor? |

Not sure Brad, but the new Rangie does have IFS. I'm not sure if they are also still incorporating the air suspension anymore. I would think it's okay, given the new Rangie was largely designed by BMW. So long as Rover is giving to Ford, and not the other way around. How funny is that... |

I heard the reverse...that RR's and Disco's would eventually end up w/ Ford suspension/platforms. Don't see anything 'horrible' about your scenario. |

I see nothing wrong with sharing ideas, heck anyone here willing to go Dana's and their cheaper lockers etc on Discos/Defender? And BTW 4.6 is on for the disco, in slightly retuned/detuned form I hear. 2003 MY 4.6 might just be the ticket |

i am all for LR pickin' up ideas...but i would rather Ford learn the off road part of it...i don't want Ford to influence LR too much...that is why i liked it when BMW had them, i wish they still had them...they were doing good...they had a good business plan, and quite frankly, BMW people are geniuses....later, jess |
