I know it was just a basic kit, but you could all the other things like drivetrains and things from them for alittle more. It includes shocks, springs, Trailing arms and some more if you email them they will tell you, but you have to be specific and they sometimes won't email you back unless you email them a few times. |

Well, the photos don't look like the lift they are talking about. That looks more like a 3" lift. The tires in the photo look smaller than my 235/85s. Quite frankly a 6" lift is going to make you top heavy on a side hill or deep rut on one side. The Disco is already a top heavy truck. I think you are much better off going with the East Coast Rover fender flares. You can fit 35s" with a 2" lift and they only cost $325. You will need to spend on HD CVs and HD axles. |

Yeah you can fit 35 with fender flares but think the tire size you can get when you get 6" lift and fender flares you could fit some 38 and maybe even more if you were lucky. and yeah the discovery is top heavy but with some huge tires that will weigh the bottom down a lot more then some stock 29" in ones. |

i hear they do some crazy sh*t in thailand - as reported in one recent LRO - they also install supra motors into discos - then go ass hauling thru the jungle, at high speeds in narrow tracks. IMHO the 6" is OTT - and will cause more trouble than it's worth. driveline vib alone, not to mention the 'wander' will relagate it show duty only. OME is the only way to go. steveII |

Too funny... Why not get a 7 inch lift from Rovertym? 3 inch springs, 2 inch spacers, and a 2 inch body lift? Or order some custom springs.. Like 5 inch springs and 2 inch spacers. Hell, add a 2 inch body lift to that and you have 9 inches of lift.. You would need some pretty wide meats to keep from rolling over on your side if you were on any kind of off camber situtation. I know that I will be adding a 2 inch body lift to my 4 inches of suspension lift when I get ready for 35s on my truck. Also what's with the double posting.. This is also posted in the General section as well? |

Mike D1 - "The Disco is already a top heavy truck" I don't think so... Chris, a Disco is a top-heavy truck. - the roof is high and made of steel - compare it to the rangie's aluminum low. - all that acreage of glass high off the ground - the engine, gearbox, and t-case are lightweight. I'd imagine a 6" lifted disco with 38"s - it would look cool, but be nearly useless except for "this one mudhole" peter |

well not if you widend the stance quite a bit with longer axles or something like that. You could do it.. But, then you may be too wide to fit down the tighter trails. It can be done and done correctly if you have the time and money to do it. |

you wold have to widen the stance by twenty-one inches to bring it back to stock stability. |
