Hey gang!

I received my DiscoWeb Moab video and have watched it a couple of times now and I just wanted to give a big THANKS! to the people who are in it. It was a lot of fun to watch and really showed off how incredibly capable these trucks are.

One thing I'd love to see in the next one is a bit of profiling on the trucks. As a newbie, I can't tell just by looking what each of those trucks had for mods.

Lifts?
Wheels & tires?
Axles?
Lockers? etc.

It would be nice to know if any of them were un-lifted. Which ones were the easiest and most capable based on equipment. What kinds of mods make the biggest difference in Moab? Stuff like that.

It was fun to see the D110 and the D90 as well. And what was up with the Jeep? Was that brand new? It had paper plates! :-D

Thanks again for the info and the entertainment.

dave,

"It would be nice to know if any of them were un-lifted. Which ones were the easiest and most capable based on equipment. What kinds of mods make the biggest difference in Moab? Stuff like that. "

we had a good assortment of suspension, tire and drivetrain. among the assortment, the yellow color of the vehicle made all the difference for me. :)

in general, locked vehicles had it easier. suspension didn't seem to matter much.
hard to compare tire size since we all had about the same size tires.

Ho,

Did you have both the D90 and the Yellow (Kalahari?) Disco there? I thought I saw you driving both, but I could be mistaken.

Dave,

Don't worry about it; no disrespect perceived. I think everyone was just having fun with you. To answer your questions, I think almost all of the trucks had some kind of lift and larger tires, most had a rear locker, and some had front and rear lockers.

Waaaait a minute! I think you guys got this all wrong. Dave said:

"It would be nice to know if any of them were un-lifted"

I am assuming that "un-lifted" means it has been lowered from stock like a low rider. If that is the case, I hear rumors that there are some pictures of John's D chopped and lowered somewhere in the archives.

:)

My favorite quote from the video was directed to the Jeep Guy playing Bob Marley:

"Hey man, maybe if you turn up the music, you might make it over the top"

i think we all had some kind of lift.
smallest tires were 245/75-16.
most were 235/85-16 and 265/75-16

"Hey man, maybe if you turn up the music, you might make it over the top"

If you only knew. There was one guy there who actually thought this.
