...is it possible to unlock yourself? ie: coat hanger, etc. What would you try if you didn't want to pay someone to come out and unlock it? |

Actually, you have to think about it to get your keys locked into your Disco.....

Yeah, didn't we have a long discussion awhile ago on just "how to" lock your keys in your truck? It would be pretty tough to actually do it, so if you figured it out, let us know! |

...especially with "your only key." ...unless your remote is seperate from your key, then you wouldn't really be locked-out, now would you? |

To lock 'em in, you have to have the front doors shut, and have one of the back doors open. Hit the lock (either push the driver's door-lock down, or with the button on the key-fob), throw the keys in, then shut the door. It's kinda nice, IMHO, that you can't just shut the driver's door and have it locked... either have to use the key or the key-fob. An old friend's Porsche was pre-electric locks, she had to use a key to lock the doors. Really thought that was neat. -L |

You could lock the driver's door, leaving the driver-side rear door open, then throw your keys in through the open rear door, and shut it. The doors would re-lock in a few seconds, and you would be locked-out But why is it you'd want to do that? |

I use the back-door-open-delayed-lock all the time. Park Disco, get out, shut driver's door, open rear door, hit remote lock button (doors lock but alarm does not arm), then wrestle the tike out of the babyseat, then slam back door shut and system is armed. |

The guy obviously wants to know if you can pop a lock on a disco easily. Maybe he saw one he likes down the street or someplace and wants to boost it. Odds of locking yourself out are damn slim. You'll get no info from me. |

Maybe I want to steal a Disco?? Yeah, OK. Get real. But thanks to the others for posting your thoughts on this. Now, I will never worry about locking my keys inside the vehicle. |

Hey, I managed to lock the keys inside while it was running! Really cold last winter. Take remote fob off the key ring. Get out (its still running) close the drivers door. Open back door, press locking tab, all the doors lock, close the door. Go into the grocery store. Guess what, your remote fob doesn't work when the engine's running. I came outside and couldn't get into my still runing vehicle....yeah, I'm a genius. Lucky its only two blocks home |

It's easier to lick your own balls than to lock your keys in a disco. |
