Haven't had my Disco long but the other day I did the normal drive to work and couldn't figure out why the truck seemed sluggish until I got to work and realized I left the parking brake on. As I understand it the parking brake is actuated at the transfer case and not the actual brakes. What have I screwed up? everything seems OK. Anything I should look for as far as excessive wear? Thanks. |

Depending on how long your drive wasand how tight you had the brake set, probably brake shoes in the drum are shot. It is also extremely hard on the transmission, but at this point there is nothing you can do about that...... Was your brake light (red) on the dash lit?? If not, you'll want to check that also.
