The ideal tire width for a 7" wide rim is 9.5" So this tire is way too wide for the rim. A 12.5" wide tire will also interfere with the body panels. Randall |

kinda odd that you're only going to put them on the rear. I usually go by an extra 3-4" extra tire per rim. for stock wheels you can go high as 11.50" but you'll get a lot of rubbing on the rear since the backspacing for stock rims is so great. 12.50 is also so wide that you'd have to trim a lot to make them fit. look at the photo gallery, there is a good reason everyone is running tall and skinny tires. |

You can fit them on a 7" rim. I have 33x12.5's on a 7" rim. The only way you will know if they fit is by trying it out yourself and seeing what you might need to do. The fact that they are not very tall may save you something. Tom |

Thanks for posting that Tom. People don't believe you can put a 12.50 on a 7" rim but it works. However it works better with taller sidewalls. I think the 31 would have the sidewall pulled in quite a bit to affect the tread's profile. I'd stick to 11.50 in anything smaller than 33" tires but they will fit and your rim will be much better protected from trail damage. I typically try to set it up so that the tread width (not the tire section width) is around 2" more than the rim width. |
