Hello, a buddy of mine called and said he thinks he got a good deal on a 2001 DII SE7 with cold climate package etc. There is 21K on it and they want $31,900 for it. I told him it sounds good. There is no damage except for a cracked front fairing which the center will replace etc. He checked the VIN # and all seems okay. (also to get rid of the damned running boards) I told him to jump on it because they are hard to come by. Does anyone in here have any input? I did mention that for anything you buy (anyone) the only real deal is in your head...Incidentally, if he does by it, he's in PA so I told him about R.O.V.E.R.S. Thanks |

I would say shop around first. I bought my 2K DII a year ago. It had 4K miles on it, cold climate (SE) with ACE. I paid 33K. That was in VT, at a rover dealer. The car was spotless and they even threw in rubber mats, cargo space protector and extended roof rails. Defintely shop around. |

Man With a Plan - Fred Tuttle!!! shit.......sorry about the other posts. but in regards to the truck. call the Automaster in Burlington and see what they have on the lot. they usually have a few there and you can get a feel for the prices at least. there is another place that sells alot of Rovers just off 89 in Williston i think...... |

Dave M. No I no longer live in VT. I'm in Boston, but lived in Burlington for five years or so. I'm actually thinking of moving back sometime soon, depending on the job situation... I guess I just miss the VT way of life. You should look into joing the BAy State Rover group (BSROA.org). We have a few VT'ers in the group. Cheers, Dave M. (yes, my last name starts with M) |

It's actually not my deal... it belongs to another Sales Guide. And finding used SE7s is really tough...especially newer ones...at least in our area. Compared to what they usually go for at our dealership, I think it is a good deal. |

Thanks, he read this post and couldn't believe someone may know who he is. I figured it was due to an inquiry for a vehicle etc. Christian |

I'm from VT,i went to school in Burlington, lived at the top of church st and grew up in waitsfield. I spend the winter now in Asheville N.C and go to VT for summer. I have got to say the only land rover shop/dealerworth mentioning is Rovers North and the 4x4 center in wiliston. The Automaster or I like to call them Auto amature are HORRIBLE. I use the dealer here in Asheville, and they take care of me like a dealer should. The Automaster pretty much ripped me off from the start and their service manager needs a class in professionalism and managment skills. Land Rovr of Asheville NC is GREAT and so is the 4x4 center in williston VT. Once the Automaster mechanic locked my bike rack on te back of DISCO so I could not open the back door...he locked in a way that I could not use the rack or the door...then I paid to have them put back the way I had it whe I brought my rig in. Also, among other things, they charged me $1200 to not fix two wires that connect from the batt. to the alt. I had this problem for over a year that they could not fix then I took the truck to Asheville and they did it for under $200 bucks. The Automaster is part ofthe reason LAND ROVERS get a bad name, I didnt understand it until I saw how a dealership is suppose to be run. Just some friendly advice from someone who makes alot of money, loves ROVERS but doesnt like crooks and idiots..... |
