Hello All, Well, I've put on my 16" alloys with General Grabbers that came with the alloys when I bought them. The first thing I did notice is that the ACE system is really affected by the tires. There's much more movement in the body when taking turns; it just feels loose compared to when I had the 18's on. The way this thing feels, there's no way that I would push it like I used to in the corners when I had the 18's. The ACE system can't cover up the increased slop in the suspension from the bigger sidewalls. Perhaps this is why LRNA doesn't suggest using 16's with ACE? b/c ACE doesn't benefit you that much? Anyway, thought you guys might want to have additional observations. Emilio 2000 DII BTW: The handling with the 16's is still much better and comfortable than the DI handling! |

I think its benefits tremdously, just imagine it without ACE. I'm running 235-85s with a 2" lift. I wouldn't trade it for the world. IMHO, Clarance |

Bummer. I've noticed very little difference in handling performance since going to the 265/75-16s (Dunlop) and the OME HD lift. Loose is different than body roll, ACE won't do much for tires rolling on the rims. Are you lifted? Perhaps the grabbers are just mushier. |

I would say that your feeling more of the effect of the rubber and raised height than from the 16" rims. Remember how little rubber their is between the 18" rim and the road... |
