I was driving into work this morning and had my front window defroster running on the highest setting (I think it's 4) when half-way to work, it stopped blowing air out. This is the first time this has happened. I shut the fan off and then turned it back on and it was fine. What could've caused it to stop blowing?

It's another one of those famously intermittent Land Rover electrics problems. For some reason, the blower doesn't like the '4' setting, several people have had the same problem.
I just chalk it up as another "charming" oddity and only put my fan up to 3.

Mine does the same thing, rarely though. Its just something Lucas does to keep us on our toes. I worry mine will go out on a hot summer day! Ive heard its an electrical connection to the blower assembly. |

Dealer replaced the switch (at great expense to the extended warranty) to cure this on our 95.

Move to Texas, we only need them 2 days out of the year. Last year winter was on a Tuesday! |

I've had the same problem with the fan switch on #4. "It's a Lucas thing." |
