I drank out of one of these all weekend. I think it's the best one going because it's a triple power refer. You can leave it in camp and it will run off of a propane bottle, 12V in the truck and 110V at home. http://www.dometicusa.com/products/rv/dometic/portables.html |

Actually, the Engels are better than the current ARB's. The Engels draw 2.5 amps at freeze while the current ARB's draw 3.1 amps. The Engels also have thicker lids and better insulation so they run less frequently than the ARB's. ARB will soon have the identical fridges to the Engels (except for color), but those are still a few months away. |

Well I know how this will sound , BUT , I have the pleasure of getting some shipments sent to my house by a certain canuck fellow I know when he orders items from Expedition Exchange. Recently I came home to find an Engel on my Front porch. I have an arrangement with him that if something shows there I retain the right to play with it SO , out of the box that bitch came (Not an easy task , its heavy) I was very impresed with it. Its solid as hell ... No Mickey mouse shit there.. Kyle |
