silly question, but what exactly makes a D2 model an SE over anything else? would the D2's have the SE badge on the body like the D1's have?

Yup, it says SE on the body. Let me see if I can remember...upgraded stereo, leather seats (further $$ upgrade for Lightstone color leather), cold climate package (heated seats) as an option...oh man, I'm dyin' on this one, somebody help me. Once I buy my stuff, and I do have an SE, I get to forget the differences in models and clear the head space a little. OH! Bigger car payment! THAT I get reminded of every month! :)

18" pro-line wheels
Leather seats
Trailer Hitch
ACE
SLS
CCP (optional)
Headlight washers
Premium stereo system (Harmon Kardon, if I'm not mistaken)

That's all that I can recall...

ahhh, guess I don't have the SE then? I have full leather interior with 8 way power seats, cold climate, 320 watt HK stereo, tow package, headlight washers, etc but no SE label on the body.

Derek,

You probably do have an SE if you have dual sunroofs along with the other parts you mentioned. The ACE and 18" geekline wheels that Carig mentioned are not a part of the SE package, but on the SE package with ACE. My 2000 D2 is not branded with "SE" anywhere, but that is the package that it was. Ace would not be so bad if it did not come with those wheels.

they werent badged as SE until 2001, 2002 SEs come with 18s..prior you had to get ACE

Kyle, no I do NOT, LOL! I don't like those wheels, and as I elected to not buy an ACE equiped truck, I didn't have to get them. I DO have the "girlie" White Gold, though (G). Oh, and the wussy dual sun roofs, which I love! Heeheehee....

ACE, including those 18 inchers, CCP, SLS are all options, not standard on an SE. Leather I *think* is standard, but Lightstone and maybe even the grey color are $500.00 options. I have Lightstone, but didn't pay the extra for it.

Karen, chick car-ed! :)

Oh Gil, I see that changed with the 2002s! I didn't like the wheels and the lack of tire choices I'd be facing in the future. ACE didn't do much for me either, but to each their own. Everyone seems to love those big wheels except me anyway. Especially Kyle. ;)

Karen :)

ok, I guess maybe I do have an SE then!? I do have the dual sunroofs as you mentioned. since it's not going to say it on the body, is there another place to look for the definitive answer? it's up for sale now and don't want to misrepresent anything while advertising.
