I've got a vibration on my DI that seems to be coming from the rear, driver's side. It only happens when I'm slowing down or just starting out. Once I pick up speed it's gone. It sounds real "tinny" like the metal mudguards or exhaust are rattling or something. But I can't find anything loose. I noticed it after I changed from stock springs to OME HDs. Is this the dreaded driveline vibration everyone's always talking about? This doesn't sound/feel like what I would think is driveline vibration. |

get a rubber mallet and whack your catalysts - sounds like that is your situ - or is your exhaust true? has it been bent off road? also did you just add mt's? the added vibration from the mt's could cause a noise if everything is not tight - many variables. best is to drive in an alley with cement walls so you can listen to the sound and take someone with you who knows these cars. steveII |

That cats are solid and the whole exhaust system seems straight and dent free. I did recently switch to BFG MTs, and figured that might be the source, but that was a week or so before I noticed the vibration. (The vibration came after the switch to OME HD springs.) We also installed the RTE lower "eyelet" shock mounts and yanked on the metal mudguards fairly hard to get more room to work but nothing seems to be loose there either. I'll get under it this weekend and bang around to see if I can locate the problem. |

I forgot to mention... This is definitely coming from the rear. Slightly less definite: the rear, driver's side. Nothing from the front or mid section. What does driveline vibration feel/sound like? |
