Anyone installed the MJ Lee diff guards on a Disco2? I just got one today, spread the straps a bit, positioned it in front of the diff, and tried to push it on to fasten it down. The thing seems about 1/4" to small! Thoughts? Experiences? Maybe they sent me one for a Disco 1, does it have a diff with a 1/4" smaller front cap on it? |

I would just install a longer bolt and not worry. Having a gap in the strap at the top is normal and it give you the ability to get it really tight. Ron |

It's the the bottom cup portion of the protector that is too small! |

I see. email MJ Lee and see what they sent you. However, keep in mind that they are supposed to fit tight, so if its just a matter of it needing to be persuaded on there then hit the sucker with a BFH and be done with it. Ron |

Eburrows, if MJLee won't credit you back for that set you have, and they fit a D1, I'll buy them from you. -P |

I am ordering a bunch of these from the UK They look different but offer much more protection than the MJ Lees. Also these are made for the DII and will fit with out use of a hammer. Oh and the price is about the same Dee If intrested email me [email protected] Discount Rovers.com

Eh, I hope you're kidding. Anyway, the MJ Lee diff guards DO NOT fit the disco2. Also, the MJ Lee URL (first ranking if you put 'MJ Lee into google.com) is: www.mjloffroad.co.uk |

I guess the D2 is different. I still have not put mine on the D1 but did install buddy's on his D90 and I did have to use a rubber mallet to get them on. His were from some other company but looked like a MJL knock off. Measure out the same but had the strap made thicker and used 2 bolts on top instead of one. I thought it would present trouble if it was a tight fit and the strap was thicker but it didn't. Anyway, I'm digressing again. What I really wanted to say is the MJL were very nice to deal with, so I'm sure they will send you the right stuff eventually. |
