I want to put some power outlets in the back of my D1. should i run the cable from the second battery under the body, under the carpet or in the roof lining? |

i'd go for running under the carpet. in the uk an aftermarket stereo cables/speakerwire should be run along the rht hand side leaving the amp power cables etc running along the lft side.taking this into consideration (and might not apply to you) i would opt fot the lft side, under the carpet. |

Craig, what kind of 'power outlet' are you talking about? If you're just talking about a cigarette lighter style aux power receptacle, then there's an auxillary wire already waiting for you. It's located in the access panel that allows you to change your rear directional bulbs on the passenger side. A lone aux wire chutes off from the trailer wire harness that in there. Brian |

Mike; no, not off the top of my head. If you look back there it should be obvious. maybe this will help...

Brian, I am in the process of adding a power outlet (Cigarette Lighter style) as well. Your diagram is great. Do you know what the rating/capability of that wire is (Amperage/current draw) and if it has a fuse up front? I would like to be able to power an Engle fridge or power inverter without causing a Lucas melt down. Thanks for your time and any additional information. Dale |

There is an 8 amp supply already in place at the rear passenger side...just look for the "loose wire" when you open the panel used for accessing the tail light cluster. |
