I am a rookie Disco owner! I have a 98 LE and I bought it to play off road...now what? I am taking suggestions on where to start my project of making my DI more off-road worthy. I have brush guards, lights, and rack. I am interested in suspension upgrades, tires, sliders, etc... |

Save your money. At least for now. Find some responsible off-roaders to go off-roading with. There is probably a LR club near by. That way you can find out first hand what you need and what you don't. I would remove the front spoiler and cut down the bumper end caps. That way you won't tear it off. Stock Discos are very capable. Next, I'd get a 20 foot 2" recovery strap and a couple of D-Shackles (www.4x4connection.com). Head to www.discocrazy.org and check out the photos from Ricardo Palomino's Rover Roundup. Most of the vehicles were bone stock and they all did fantastic! Thanks, Mike B. |

For recovery gear, also check your local tractor/farm supply store. |
