The disco is feeling bad this morning after a small run in with a muddy creek crossing this past weekend. All the fluids checked out OK last night. This morning it wont shift into OD, its running at 4 grand on the tack at 55mph. Circuits wet in the auto tranny?? It will hardly go any faster than 70?? ideas, ridicule, help........ Thanks in advance, Hank |

4krpm @ 55mph suggests that you are not even getting out of third let alone hitting fourth or locking the torque converter.........suggesting that there is dirt in the valve body, causing a valve to stick. do a 30k filter and fluid change pronto. Also check that the breather has not come astray. |

Ah! Here's the post... Yep, what Chris said is in reference to the tranny.... If you were in deep enough to get water up to air-box level, then you may very well have had ingress through your tranny breather... I'd definitely drop the tranny pan, change tranny fluid and filter first, see how it looks inside. Make sure that the breather is clear, too... it may have gotten clogged. Good luck! -L |
