Driving my 97 D1 out of my neighberhood this morning it breifly hesitated/stalled before going on. It was not cold, Im trying figure out the problem, my first guess is fuel delivery. Specifically the filter so Im gonna start with that. Any hints. The truck only has 86k |

Here's the classic symptom of your throttle position sensor wearing out: The engine hesitates or skips a few beats under light accelleration, otherwise everything is normal. This hesitation starts to occur as the truck nears 100,000 miles on the clock. It is very easy to replace the TPS yourself. Randall |

Jay The TPS is located on the intake plenum, and is attached to the throttle shaft. It is a black plastic part with some wires attached. All you have to do is remove the screws and replace with new. DO NOT move the throttle until you are done. It will take the ECU about 10 minutes of driving time to "learn" the new TPS. Randall |
