Joshua, I have the same problem and someone told me in my earlier post that the same mirror is used in several late model GM cars, same connector and everything. This person had purchased one out of a late model Caddy for $25 from a junk yard. I haven't tried it yet, it's on my list to do this week. Any idea on how the mirror comes off? I didn't see any obivious fasteners. Jeff |

I have the same problem guys, I have found several aftermarket brands. Just waiting on someone to give me the insight on how to change the thing out. Any thoughts?? After that, I'll let you know if you haven't gotten it yet. |

Do the mirrors on this site fit? http://www.donnelly.com/shopdonnelly/default.asp Mine is not leaking yet, but definitely isn't right...has the oil waves (for lack of a better description). |

http://www.montecarloss.com/MirrorLight.html would this mirror work? I got a new windshield and my 95 didn't have the bolt on mirror the new models had. this one cost 26 bucks and looks like it will bolt on. |

Punchy, The problem is that the mirrors that donnelly sells directly don't match to the "button" on the rover's windshield. However, the mirror "blade" itself should be similar and have the same ball-in-socket mounting. Thus, you can get a new mirror but use the old bracket and all should work. I had my mirror button pulled and replaced (not a pretty sight) but looking back, this way should work. Donnelly is OEM for a lot of cars these days, and the new ones don't have the liquid in them to leak out. Mirror itself is standard, but the OEM mounts are closely guarded. Wiring is easy even if the connectors don't match up (and they probably won't). |

I'm almost afraid to ask but, do all Discos have this potential problem, or is it limited to certain model years? (I've got a '97) David |
