Just hooked up 6 Hella 4000's (4 on roof rack, two fogs on bush guard). I used the Hella wiring harness but I don't like the turn knobs as switches and I want to get factory buttons. On a March 30 post, Dave B talks about using factory buttons obtained from Atlantic British in the following configuration.

AMR4138G switch contacts:
Pin 1: +B (high side power to be switched for relay control)
Pin 2: Dash back light positive supply. Tap from pin 2 on the adjacent fog lamp switch.
Pin 3: No Connection - leave floating
Pin 4: switched +B ouput to control relay, when engaged, it also powers the little green "on" lamp.
Pin 5: Comon - ground to vehichle body.

My question is, I guess that Pin 1 goes to your "hot" source that you need turned on in order for the switch to be on, while Pin 4 goes to your relay. Is this correct? I know that laws vary state to state about what lights you can have on, but where do most people connect their switched lead?
