This noise sounds like a loud squeek that comes from the front of the vehicle whenever I accelerate from a light or stop sign. The noise only occurs briefly right when I start to accelerate and then stops. It does not happen all the time but happens more after I have been driving on the highway. Any ideas. By the way, its not the belt. Thanks Matt |

Might be the water pump, they can squel like that at times. you can check it by removing the fan and belt and then spinning the pulley to the water pump. |

I just replaced my tensionre pulley when I had a whining noise coming from my engine you should check that first. If it is go to a local landrover dismantler I got mine for 50 bucks and it works great. |
