Hi All

Just a quick question.... how worried do i have to be about the "Service engine light"... i saw how to turn it off... but i was wondering how "important it is".... AKA should i just turn it off or is does something REALLY need to be done...

pls just the facts. not the "oh my god it means your rig is about to explode... type response that seems rampent these days.

thx

KEN

oh my god your ri....uhh, i mean, if it is a DI, then it is just an emissions maintenance reminder, and there is really no need to do anything. you might want to check on O2 sensors, and various hoses, but you needn't worry at all. i believe for a DII though, that the check engine/service engine are one in the same.

cool thx man... so this sounds like a "Dealer cha ching"(sound a cash register makes) kind of warning light... and not "melt down warning". albeit, its probably a good thing/time to do a complete engine "look at"

thx again..
