i was wondering if you can put a winch on a genuine land rover brush bar. I see this on euro models, i was hoping to keep my genuine bar and put a winch below it? Is this possible or safe? Anyone know how to or where i can do this? Thanks alot guys and I love this forum so much....alyssa keep up the inside scoop at Rover N.America, its great to get new information......thanks peoples! This would be for a D1 by the way but I am purchasing the kalahari soon and it comes a nice genuine bar and i would conside doing the same if possible.

I've never seen a winch on the brush bar. Also, I don't think that it can be done. However, a guy that I wheel with has a reciever hitch mounted below his brush bar and uses a multi mount winch.I don't know if it is a sweet set-up, but it works great! Hope this helps some.

What you probably saw was the landrover OEM mount

Uses same style brush bar, with a winch tray

You can keep the stock bumper this way

I have one for sale, email if interested

Joshua, you haven't sold that unit yet? What are you looking to get for it? BTW, I never could open the pics you sent me, sorry. I think the file was too big or something. JMcD

I'm planning on having a winch mount made so I can keep the stock bumper and bar. I hope to get it in next week to find out for sure when I get my sliders welded on so maybe I'll have some news soon. I've seen what the guy I'm using can do so I'm confident he can make it happen. I'll pass along whatever info I get.
