The square clip and ball that connects the shifter to the film-P,D N etc came out. The film rides in a thin slot at he top of the square piece- Is there a quick way to re connect this with minimal dissasembly? thanks |

well if the film is flush with the plastic housing then engage one part of the clip and rotate the clip that surrounds the shifter leaver if the film is not flush with the housing like mine was you need to remove the center counsle and pull the shift lever housing off 4 phillips head screws and hopefully you can find the 4 smaller screws that have came off the white plastic guide that holds the film to the housing then use locktite and reassamble the stupid thing. when they designed this I think they smoked too much crack when they came up with that idea...
