Does anyone know if there are any suppliers for the Mantec snorkel here in the US? I checked their website but didn't find anything. Thanks. |

I'm very tempted to get a snorkel, but don't like the ARB one. I want to go with Mantec, but I don't like the fact you can;t face the intake forward. Has anyone figurd out how to rotate the intake? |

Rotating the cap forward will allow water to go into it if you hit it fast or deep enough. Saw it happen on a humvee once. |

Fellas, I didn't mean to keep it facing forward. Especially offroad. My thought was that you could have it facing ahead when the weather and driving was good, at highway speeds. Possibly inducing a forced or ram air effect of the cooler air. Your thoughts? |

Dave, I don't think you would gain a ram air effect with any of the available snorkels. 1. intake needs to be located in a high pressure pocket. 2. ducting needs to be smooth, and of equal inner diameter throughout. 3. true ram air kits don't like 90 degree bends (see pic) I have the mantec on my 91, and only hook it up to the airbox if I know I'll be in really wet or dusty conditions, FWIW
