I have some rust spots from rock nicks on the header and have got some touch up paint and clear coat. What is the best prep to insure the "killing" of the rust?

Thanks,
Chris

header? as in exhaust? or am I missing something here? if you want a really great product, get some ras 'o' nil. it will convert rust to non-rust and you can paint right over it.

The header above the windscreen--the front most part of the roof that slopes back before it becomes horizontal. The rocks that broke my windscreen, and their friends, have pelted and chipped the paint.

Thanks.

ok, you want ras 'o' nil then. nice stuff. go to www.autobodystore.com to buy it and read the forums. ask len the owner what he thinks about it. sprays on like water, very easy to use.
