Dear All,

I was wondering which way to go regarding shocks and springs for a 2000 Disco II w/ACE. The truck will have a ARB bull bar initially. Within some months rock sliders, rear steel bumper and possible winch. I don't want to change tire size and will stick to stock for the time. My questions are the following if I use OME:

1. Which ones do you recommend?
2. How high will the lift be and will it look awkward with the stock tires?
3. Will the car sit even?

Thanks for your input, great site

Sincerely,

Umang

Umang,
I have a 2K Disco II with ACE. I have the OME HD lift all around, with the anticipation of doing the same as you. I'm currently running 265/75/16 Rover Rt's. I jsut put my ARB bumper on this past weekend, and will place the winch in it this week when I get it. I can take some pics of the how the lift looks, but it isn't any different from any other DII with OME. Can't tell that I have ACE without the 18" rims, unless you look underneath....

To answeer your questions:
I have the HD OME lift, can't remember the numbers.
The lift is around 2 inches total. It only looks awkward with stock tires because YOU know you have stock tires. Nobody else except another roverphile will notice it.
As far as the car sitting even, buy your springs from someone who matches the springs. The OME's come with with driver and passenger side springs, one being a bit longer than the other. Because I bought my springs from the cheapest source, and not the most customer friendly, I will have to insert some trim packers into the passenger springs in order to level the car.
