My wife's Disco has begun to "throb" the dashboard and headlights. I have a theory (which I hope is wrong) but I would like your opinions. The wife is 8 months pregnent so I do not need her to have any suprises. Thanks, Lee

Sounds like your alternator diodes have gone bad.

What would be the solution for bad diodes?

Replace the alterntor. Easy job but parts arent cheap at the dealer. I have heard that rebuilts are available, but I'm not sure where?
Good luck.
P.S. to make sure that the alternator is the problem you can disconect the 3 wires at the back. One just pulls off, then pop off the plastic cover and remove the other 2 wires, BE CAREFUL with these wires, if they touch any metal part they will Spark. Just wrap them with tape while they are unhooked. Now start the truck and turn on the lights to see if they are still pulsing. I hope that this will help.
