I believe I am missing a hose on my 96' Disco. If you have a 96' Disco, can you confirm that there should be 2 hoses on the top of the Intake canister (Intake canister is in front right of engine compartment, about the size of a coffee can with at least one hose coming out the top). I think I am missing a hose that says air on top of the canister. Any help would be appreciated. [email protected] |

I checked mine while on I was on break and Yes there are 2 hoses. 1 (bottom one) looks like it runs back under the car to the tank I presume and the other goes directly to a round unit about 2 inches away from the canister. It would go into the bottom of this and then the connecting hose goes over to the intake area. I can take a pic of it later if that would help. DonC 96SE7 |

Which side do you mean, driver or passenger? I have a 96 and the intake canister is a box, not a coffee can shape. You are probably refering to the EVAP canister(aka charcoal canister) which sits on the Passenger side of the truck. On the 96 4.0's the canister has a fitting for 'air' but no hose. The hose is for later models. You probably shouldn't worry, the hose is not missing. Good Luck.. JMcD |
