Which side, inside/outside left/right, is the outbound on the fuses in the main box under the steering wheel? Fuse 18 in particular.

If you have access to a meter, hook the negative meter lead to chassis ground. Remove the fuse in question (fuse 18). If the circuit you're tapping into is switched with the ignition, then turn on the ignition. Take the positive meter lead and carefully touch it to each side of the fuse socket. The side that reads 12 volts is your "supply" side. The other (should read close to 0 volts) contact is your "outbound" side (connects to your protected device). Hope this helps.
