I just purchased my 1996 LDRV Disco. And I was wondering what differential axle assembly is my land rover equipped with.

Ok thanks.
The next question. I want to put boggers on my rover. 32's. Are my axles strong enough to have these. Im not sure about the axles on rovers. Are they strong? Any suggestions?

I think you would be seriously pushing your front axle (mainly the cvs) with 32in boggers. Are you going to lock the front?

No lockers if thats what you mean. I am going be locking her in 4wd though. So you dont think that boggers would be a good idea? Cause where I am there is alot of mud. Mainly mud.
thanks for the input.

Well Anonymous Sean,

If you have a lot of mud, and you want to run boggers, you are going to be doing 1 of 2 things.

Either you will be driving with your foot on the floor very often in that mud, or your will be installing lockers front and rear. Boggers are terrific in mud. I see a lot of them here in FL. But they usually have a very large engine pushing them. To make our puny engines give the kind of power you'll need to spin boggers, you will have your foot on the floor.

My advice if you want boggers is to run a rear locker, a front liminted slip to take some of the load off that CV, and upgrade to HD axles.

Good luck,

-P
