Little Rubicon is a Joke. We were laughing our asses off when we took the pictures. Only on this board are people so stupid as to not get it!

Of course, Kyle, you got it.

Ho, the forklift pics are not near as good as you and everyone else on the west coast crossed up in the ole flexin' hole.

Hmmmm. A joke? Perhaps so. But one thing that perplexes me is that if the Little Rubicon pics are truly a joke, how are those pics any different from the rest of your parking lot pics and forklift pics and teeter-totter pics?

Yeah, I guess pics of me standing over a grill with an apron on would be better.

The problem is that when you are the only guy in the group that bothers to bring a camera, all you get of yourself is posing pics. Check my other trails postings, I have some decent action shots out there.

Tom, they are all just jealous ,as they sit behind the screen thinking about the good times.

A day wheeling is better than "insert something clever here".

LOL. That is a damn good idea. 1 set of swampers a year costs more than a decent digicam.

Of course, though, they have jeeps, so where would they be without the meats?

This thread is pretty funny.

First Tom posts some photos of him and his buddies in a parking lot. Then when people make fun of the photos because they're lame, Tom claims the photos were always intended as a joke, and claims the people on this board are morons for not realizing that.

I find this hard to believe. I don't see any difference between the Little Rubicon pics and Tom's other trail and gallery pics. To my way of looking at things, what really happened was Tom posted the photos thinking they were legit, and only when others pointed out how lame the photos were did he come up with the story that the photos were always intended as a joke.

Then, to add to the drama, Hank Shank thinks he's a genius and jumps in and calls everybody "clueless" for not getting the joke. Actually, the joke appears to be on Mr. Shank for believing Tom's rather incredible story.

Maybe so, but I have no problem laughing at myself. I never looked at his photo gallery until you made fun of his fork lift picks.

If the joke is on me. So be it.

Now this thread is even funnier!!

lol

My God, John, business that slow? The name Little Rubicon is a joke. Much like you would call a fat guy "slim" or "tiny". Calling this pile of rocks rubicon is the joke.

It is a damn good thing Perry Mason is on the job for Discoweb.

John Lee,

Take it easy on Tom. He lives in the Mid West, you could drive a yugo on most of the trails out there. You should extend the hand of friendship and invite these geographically challenged Rover brothers out to California to run the Dusy or the Con.

Tom,

That looks like the trail that runs along the I&M. If it is, did you go through hell? Well, that's what it was called about 10 years ago. Didn't think anyone went down there anymore.

Phil - I know it was along some train line, as we got stuck waiting for the train on the way out. It was actually a very boring set of trails. A lot of mud and a couple "bogs" to go through, but nothing all that interesting or even difficult.

I think this is where Iron Horse 4x4 goes from time to time, although I heard it was the last time anyone would be allowed out there. I went with a chicago based 4x4 club who received permission from either land owners or police. In either case, it was so boring that I wouldn't go back.

Anon- Yes, I put on 33's just for that. I have crowned the pinnacle of 4wheeling. The great Illlinois boulder run as the old-timers call it. Now I can die happy.

Mike - You are right, aside from the Attica 'fun park', there isn't crap out here. At least not that I have found yet.

More jokes for Tom since a Yugo can run his trails:

* How do you make a Yugo go faster?
A towtruck.

* What do you call the shock absorbers inside a Yugo? Passengers.

* Two guys in a Yugo were arrested last night in Oakland following a push-by shooting incident.

* The new Yugo has an air bag. When you sense an impending accident, start pumping real fast.

* A friend went to a dealer the other day and said, "I'd like a gas cap for my Yugo." The dealer replied, "Okay. Sounds like a fair trade."

* I have also said for years that the car is named because "Yugo, but it doesn't".

* How can you get a Yugo to do 60 miles an hour?
Push it over a cliff.

Hank,

You claim you're good at laughing at yourself when the joke is on you, but it doesn't appear that way. In fact you appear to be taking it as well as Mr. Pearson is.

As for your contention that I started this thread, you are wrong. You are now twice as "clueless" (your words) as you were before.

Good show! Bravo! Encore!

damn, somebody needs to get laid. Who didnt laugh when they saw those pictures? They are funny..
who gives a shit about what kind of pictures somebody posts? Are we trying to insinuate that Tom is a "poseuer" because he has fork lift pics? Give me a break. Maybe we cant all be the "rover guru" that you are John.. but a joke is a joke. I often find that a good sized joint will help you in your search for a sense of humor.

"Are we trying to insinuate that Tom is a "poseuer""

I think Tom has already provided enough evidence that insinuations are no longer necessary

I would be interested to see the average age of the people who posted in the above thread...

Come on, get over it.
