Hi Discoweber's

Just wanted to say thanks to JohnC, his brother Jorge and GlennG for all there help this past Sunday. I was at Johns house till about 11PM installing a 3" RTE lift on my 91RRC. Stephen was also there installing a 2" body lift. My truck now rides better than before and looks kool. I get very slight vibs between 25-35mph but nothing I can't live with. I will change the u-joints to see if this helps. What does suck is that my mpg has gone from 245-250 miles to about 220 on a tank full and I haven't put the larger tires on yet!!!!!!. I will be getting 245\75 mud tires for now. I will go bigger after I get 4.11's and HD axles. Any way...thanks again John for giving me a hand. I owe ya.
BTW Stephen.....did you finish yet?

Adrian

Hey Adrian, glad to hear you made it home ok. Hope the little lady wasn't too pissed.

I'm surprised that your mileage dropped since we did not install larger tires. Maybe it was all the ASADO we ate...hehehhe....which everyone liked.....you gotta tell me where I can get some.

Could it be because we changed the castor angle of the front axle????

Stephan's Rover is almost finished. We installed the body lift and are waiting to weld a piece onto the driveshaft. The installation process did not take long: what took time was removing the old bolts...what a pain in the a$$. We should have it ready by tomorrow.

I ended up taking my RR to a repair shop. I just don't have the time or stremgth to deal with that piece of crap. I think it's time to get the CJ back on the road.

Did you feel your steering wander at all? any looseness in the steering?

Let me know if you are going to Robesonia. Talk to you later.

John

94Rover: Gallery??? what's that???? I guess only special folks get one of those... I will have pics by tonite but not here, they will be in my photoalbum.

Adrian, you don't know how much rust is hanging out under my car. It's crazy. When we took the bolts out, it started to rain dust flakes on our heads and that crap doesn't come out. I love how we all arrive at John's house in the morning all happy to do work on our trucks yet, come afternoon and we are cursing and wishing we bought Chevys. hehehe. At least i now have all the spacers installed and the bolts on them, that was the hardest part i think. Thanks again john for letting us use your house and tools .(and letting me rent some parking space for my stricken truck) Well my car looks way cool, u gotta see it. Well it was fun, maybe i will post pictures when it's all done.

Hey John,

When my wife saw what the truck looked like with the lift see actually told me that it looked kind of funny with the small tires and that I should get bigger tires for it ASAP so I'm getting new tires today after work. I just LUV my wife!! Anyway....my truck wanders a little bit but I know my frontend needs an alignment so I'll let you know how it is tomorrow. I was thinking about the mpg drop and I think I was getting it the day before I got the lift. Power is still the same...maybe my O2 sensors are shot? I waiting for new ones from Nathan. Steering is the same.
I'm going with my family to Robsonia this Saturday. Were leaving about 6 or 6:30 in the morning. Are you thinking about going?
