The rails for my front sunroof were broken in an accident. How brave do I need to be to attempt to change them out myself? Is there anywhere I can go to get some step by step instructions? |

i havent actually replaced the rails before, but i have taken off the sunroof before to install an antenna on the roof, and everything inside is easily accessible. after, all i think this can be a dealer installed option, so everything is fairly self contained. if you have any mecanical inclination whatsoever, it shouldn't be a problem. -mike |

in retrospect...after thinking about it some more, i guess it depends on which rails are broken. if you do have to get inside the headboard, that is a huge pain to remove - hope that helps |

Josh, Do you need a pair of D1 luggage rack rails? I'm removing mine for a roof-rack install. Drop me a line if you haven't already bought / found some. Cheers, Erik |
