I have a 99 Disco 1 which originally didn't have jump seats. My brother-in-law was kind enough to get me some jump seats (from a wrecking yard) as a gift...only he didn't get the installation instructions for me. Any advice would be helpful!

I'm in the same boat. I know some of you Discoheads know how to do this. Please assist us novices.

Same here,

Steve or Mike do either of you have rear air?

I need a picture of the left bracket without rear air. Or part number if there is one.

Thanks
Jim

If you can't find someone who has done it, just have a good look at a seven seater. I believe there is a bit of hacking but thats to be expected.

I installed the passenger-side jumpseat in my 96 about 5 years ago. Sorry I didn't save the instructions, but it was not hard to do. The trim panel that holds the rear speaker has to come off first. Also have to remove the cargo cover pivots. Once these are out of the way, you can pry out the plastic rivets (hard part)on the larger trim panel beneath the window. If I remember correctly, there are indentations on the back of this trim panel showing where the seat brackets and seat belts poke through. All very straight forward. There's a note in my manual relative to the hardware stack-up that seems important: "Note: The pivot bolts, securing the seat squab and cushion, are fitted with a wavy washer under the head and a plain washer between the link and the bracket. Ensure that these washers are fitted in the correct locations when reassembling the seat." Sorry I don't remember more detail. There are a couple of pages in the manual, I can e-mail you, that explain how to remove the seats. Might help a bit. Let me know who wants them.

Here is one pic, don't know if it will help or not.

The easiest way to see how this is done is to go to a dealer and take a look. Or find someone with a like vehicle to check it out or post here.
