Today driving over to an office, my Disco's ABS Modulator came on and was vibrating constantly while driving down the road and at stoplights. It was a constant vibration not erratic such as when the ABS will kick in, on small stupid things like uneven pavement and speed bumps. When I turned the Disco ignition to off, the ABS modulator continued to run and vibrate. I disconnected the battery and pulled the fuse #5 in the engine bay, reconnected the battery, and it continued to vibrate. I then fished around, and found the Power Lead to the ABS modulator and disconnected it. Now my brakes actually feel better, and more consistent than they have before, and the ABS modulator is no longer vibrating away. So my question is, is it okay to continue driving on the road and highway with the ABS modulator turned off in the manner which I have done? Thanks Jon |

Mine does the same occassionally. Reseat the sensors and it should reset. I just pull the ABS motor fuse under the hood until I have time to look at it. |
