I have a 1999 Series I with 62K on it. The check engine light came on last week while driving after the vehicle sat for a couple months. It stayed on for the remainder of my trip but the next time I started it the light had gone out. I've driven it a few times since and the light has remained out. All the sudden today it's back on. Any advice on what to look for? It runs great so I'm assuming oxygen sensor or something. Any input? I hate to take it to the dealer to put it on a computer. Todd |

Pretty much have to hook it up to a code reader to see what it says, I have my own code reader, but most of the people that post here say that Autozone will read codes for free if you ask them. Not sure about any other parts places. Maybe you could check at your local full service gas station ? Mike G. 96 Disco SD |

Todd, this may sound odd but I have the same problem. But, only when it rains or when I wash the truck. Seems that the water is causing an action with something but I have no idea what it is? Truck runs fine, so I'm not sure what is up. |
