When offroading today and car wouldn't start after cleaning engine. any one know why? WHat is a safe depth in mud for a stock disco

Something got wet. Let it dry. Don't do it agin.

Your wires probably got wet- just give them time to dry. Same thing happens to me after I wash car.

But thats an easy fix dan, don't wash it. I perfer natures car wash, rain.:-)

Yeah it is an easy fix Chris- I work at a car wash so I keep it clean and detailed for free.

have had the same prob. ours cuts out and wont start for a couple of hours. we get spark from coil 2 distributor but not out from there. a mechanic has looked at it. there is a earthing wire or something on the side of the dizzy. apparently this runs to a relay. if it gets wet in that area it will not start. our mechanic is going to LR to see if there is a fix for this.

Don't wash off the mud - it seals all those fluid leaks!

I had this happen about a year ago -- 16 hours in the sun and it started right up again!


There are those here who wash their engine compartment with the motor running...
