We'll get this out of the way first. I'm not talking about driveline clunks and noises, I have those too, but this is something else. Two symptoms . . .
1) After a rain I feel a dull thud while I decelerate. Just one. It happens again when I take my foot off the brake and begin to accelerate. Seems to go along with the wieght of the vehicle shifting.
2) Went through a car wash with an undercarrage spray. First brake application after that produced a horrible groning sound, ABS kicked on, but I still stopped. Next stop was fine.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
wisker

This happend to my 94 D1 before the trade in ( the straw...)got a D90. Turned out my swivel seal was leaking and deep water fording caused water to make it's way past the seal and corrode the axel berings. it was ugly near the end the ABS would come on while driving.

I have the same problem number 1, only when its wet and I can sometimes feel it. It makes a slight clunk noise as well. Don't have your 2nd problem though.
