I have a disco I and the rear door seems to be locked all the time I pulled the trim off and I think the locking lever is disconnected but unfortunately the manual is not clear here. Has anyone had the same issue? Does any one have a clear diagram of the lock mechansim. I know it is not a key or central locking issue.

Just pull off the rear door trim and you'll see two connecting rods to the lever that moves the lock. One that comes down from the top button, one that comes up from the central locking actuator, I think. I guess it's possible one fell off. I once had similar symptoms but my outer door latch was just frozen. |

spray wd 40 or similar all over the external bits, and use a screwdriver to release the handle |
