So, I found the drain for the ATF but I haven't found how to fill transmission fluid for my 97 Discovery. I hear there's a top plug. Can someone give me the location of this top plug? Proximity to the drain plug would be helpful.

Also, how accurate is the dipstick for the ATF?

Thanks.

You fill it through the dipstick.

Disco I you fill through the dipstick tube using a transmission fluid funnel (long & skinny) or roll up a piece of thick paper or thin plastic to make one. I think Disco II's have the plug since they don't have a dipstick.
