Is it still safe to hi-lift RTE sliders if they have the nerf bars extending out? Do you actually make contact below the rails or do you jack on them? Can they leverage by doing this? just trying to make my decision. |

Nerf Bars extending out? Are you reffering to the non-flush version of the RTE? If so, then the answer is yes. The Hi-lift lifting arm fits onto the bottom of the slider without problem. But then again, a Hi-lift is a time bomb in itself. |

Like paul said, just make sure the high-lift sits flush against the edge of the nerf bar and you'll be fine. Don't just hook it on there-that may do damage, just like dropping the edge of the nerf bar on a rock |

There is a D110 bumper adapter for the Jackall (the same may be available for a Hi-Lift) that gives the jack much greater reach. Possibly using that will distribute the force of lifting accross the nerf bar and the main part of the sliders. This might lessen the risk of damage. I agree with Paul, I don't use a Hi-Lift unless there is no other options. I've had too many close calls. Thanks, Mike B. |

I've jacked my RTE "HD" sliders up with a Hi-Lift many a time. Half of which have resulted in the jack sliding one way or the other and slamming into my shin, foot, door panel. It's a suitable jacking point. But I strongly recommend getting a buddy to brace the thing upright while you jack it up. For clarification, that's more of a problem with Hi-Lifts/JackAlls than it is with RTE's sliders. Or anyone else's for that matter. They're not nicknamed Suicide Jacks for nothing. |
