My 95 D1 cooling system fan cuts out when on high after a while. I know don't run it on high, but my wife doesn't like hearing that. I looked but couldn't find a definite answer, to fix it what do I do? Just replace the relay? Which one, the fan or the ac relay? Any help would be appreciated!

Does it cut out completely? Or will it come back on after a short time? Mine was doing the same thing and it turned out I needed a new switch...I was losing the contact periodically. Jiggling the switch a bit might tell you if it is the switch or not, if you haven't tried that.

If it comes back on after taking a break, or comes on after moving the switch to another position its time to replace the entire assembly

Mine goes off, if I set to a new setting or turn the a/c on and off it comes back. Jiggling doesn't seem to have an effect as it will come back if I move it from the high setting. Ugh, so I might have to replace the whole assm?

The switch is only available as part of the assembly. If you're into booty fab, you can hook up a toggle switch and have low and high speeds (like I do). After replacing three switches in less than 100K, I ain't gonna replace another one.
