Hey people. Wanted to see if anyone can give me some feedback. My driver side window is starting to "click" when I close it. It only happens when the window goes all the way up and stops when it hits the door frame. It will "click" once and that's it. It kinda sounds like the window regulator is starting to go on me. I was going to open the door up this weekend to have a peek inside but wondered if anyone has had a similar experience so I know what to look for. Thanks. Alan |

It sounds to me like one of the teeth of the window regulator has broken off. It could continue to work for quite awhile before going south completely. Thanks, Mike B. |

You'll know it when it goes.. It will go at the most inopportune time. Mine went as I was pulling out of my parking garage at work, in the pouring rain. We have to swipe a card and the window went down fine, and stayed down even better. I got to drive home in the rain with my window down. Sometimes owning this damn thing is funny... Most of the time it's not though. |

Yea, I'm almost expecting that. I had an old (89) Pathfinder before and that's what happened to me. Stupid passenger window regulator went and I was stuck with the passenger side down during a rain storm. Oh well, at least it was the passenger side. |

Alan, my window does the same plus the outer door skin moves as the window fully closes as if something is out of line.

Ummmm....yeah, I just went through this too -- luckily the weather's been decent. What'll happen (I'm reconstructing my regulator right now) is that something that can't handle the additional pressure/stress will break. Probably one of the plastic pieces inside the regulator. Andy |
