What happens when the TPS goes out? I've searched and searched....and don't see much on the TPS.

From the 95/98 Workshop Manual: "As there is no default strategy, the failure of the sensor will result in poor idle and lack of throttle response. If failure occurs in the closed position the engine will only reach 1750 rev/min when the ECM will initiate overrun fuel cut off. The fault is indicated by illumination of the malfunction indicator light (check engine) on NAS vehicles."

In my case I had no check engine light but an erratic idle 80% of the time (95 D1).

I just had mine replaced under warranty and had no check engine light but a weird idle as well. On a DII.

Eric or Kevin, did either of yours have any other problems that were cleared up by replacing TPS....

I think I'm getting that fuel shut off thing, plus the crappy idle. Anyway I'm gonna call DR and get one comming the quoted $52 on a genuine part, thats cheaper than autozone at $68, plus you have to wait for shipping from either place.
