has anyone ever installed a plastic brush gaurd, like the one featured on LR's site for the 2003 discivery, on their d1? is this even possible? do they have an equivalent? |

I think there are UK spec guards that might work. I've seen some customers with plastic guards, but I can't remember if they are DI or DII. I highly doubt the 2003 bar would work on anything but a DII, since the DI is so much more narrow. The 2003 Discovery guard is a "nerf" type material. I call it the "squishy" brush bar. I actually think it makes tons of sense. A baby tap of the traditional brush bar, and you could roll it in and damage your hood. Even if you don't, the scratches bare the paint, and then it rusts. The new type gives with a tap & doesn't damage anything. |
