These codes come up with the OBD II. What would cause this? Spark plugs are less than 1 year old, less than 25K on them. New magnecor wires too. Odd???? Is Cylinder 1 located on the passenger side in the back? If so I think I may need to redo that one. Any ideas? |

Check to see if the plug boots are secure on the plugs. I had the CE light come on right after I installed new magnecores - it turned out that one of the boots had worked its way off. They fit so snug that it seems easy to get some air trapped in there. Good luck Scott |

Carbon fouling on the valves will give you a misfire error. Here are two very well done .PDF files on the problem. http://www.robisonservice.com/servicedep/pdfs/carbon_fouling1.pdf http://www.robisonservice.com/servicedep/pdfs/carbon_fouling2.pdf |

Carbon was the problem with my 1999 Disco II. They replaced the top end and found a valve seal that was damaged when the engine was made so it was defective from day one. |

Dealer reset the codes for free. Still scratching their heads. I believe that it is the speed sensor. I doubt very much a problem with carbon build up. Local LR mechs say that it is mostly an east cost thing with humidity. I live in the desert. No humidity. Besides I run her stong, and she seems to drive good, as well as the D2 loaner I have. No hesitation. Thanks for the imput. |
