Have finally found one that we liked and is located at a dedicated LR dealer. Its a 99 Disco II Brown leather package and thats about it, good wheels and tires and no signs of anything dripping like a wet fish below. The price is 19K and it hs 38K miles. It is land Rover certified and comes with the remaining warranty (2 months) and then a further 12 months from the dealer. The wife loves it, I like it (im 6ft 2in and it took me 5 mins to get comfy, when I did eventually get comfy it was a pleasure to drive) They even took us off road over a slate hill and incline which the wife hated but it performed unreal) So the question is should I drop the cash? I love the Disco's and love Land Rover but I just dont want to get a year into this and have the engine fall out. The price sounds good for the milage. The warranty is nice if there are any bugs to work out. I wouldn't imagine th engine would fall out! I'm 6'4" and fit fine. You can get them thru the dealer - I just did to be safe. Cost was $1,400 for 72mo/100,000 mile. Far less stress on you. Most EWs will take you.
