Had TT installed in the front of my D2 by a local driveline shop. How can I test for correct operation (in a controlled environment - like in the driveway)?

I have CDL, so can disable ETC for the 'test' if necessary. Any ideas?

If it seems like it is doing nothing, it is working correctly. LOL

I don't have the owners manual handy, but I remember one section that recommends driving the vehicle with one tire on the road and one off the side of the road in a loose surface. Then you hit the gas. The TT should send power to the side that is on the road.

With mine, I took off the rear driveshaft and engaged the CDL and did the same. You can definitely tell the difference.

John,
you know it's working by the way the steering feels, rather heavy or 'thick'. Also, when you are coming out of a corner, it will want to straighten the line very fast. Off-road, just ask someone to watch.
Then if you hear the "psst" "psst" sound, you have other problems.

Do the gravel/dirt/pavement thing. The wheel in the dirt should spin momentarily and then slow down to the speed of the wheel with traction.

To check if everything was installed OK, jackup one side of the axle, leaving the other wheel on the ground. Transfer case locked and transmission in gear (manual) or park (auto), rotate the lifted wheel. It should rotate freely in either direction.
