Hey there - Now easy on the flames. I am looking to put a winch on my airbag ARB. Looks like the largest Warn that will fit (without modifying the bumper) will be the XD9000. I have checked the archives and realize this is opening a can of worms but most of the winch descriptions mention the NONairbag ARB. I have been told that the i-series Warn will not fit, nor will the M12000. What would you guys suggest putting up front? Let the torching begin. Jay |

Jay - are you worried about maximum load capabilities of the xd9000? I'm not sure I understand your question. |

Actually Alan I am trying to find out what size will physically fit into the bumper mount. I was thinking about the Warn M12000 but was told that it would not fit without cutting the bumper. Just curious what other people have managed to fit into the ARB. Jay |

Jason, When I owned an ARB, I emailed www.arbusa.com and asked that very same question. They informed me that you cannot install anything bigger that the Warn 10K. Meaning; anything bigger than 10K and you risk the chance of tweaking / bending your bumper. There are folks on this board who have altered their ARB's to accomdate the 12K and 15K Warns. But after talking to ARB, I decided against it. Give them a call or email them direct. They will help you out. Paul '00 Pig

Paul, are you talking about the non-airbag arb? I think the non-airbag will take a bigger winch than the airbag model. I know alot of people put the 12K in their arb's but they are all the non-bag model. FWIW Dan |

Paul - Ya, I called ARB today and they told me the same thing - biggest suggested is the M10000. I have seen some posts with larger winches on the non-airbag ARBs but never on the airbag compliant one. Thanks for all the help. Jay |

Daniel, Now I am confused. I always thought that for the D2, there is not a "non air-bag" version. But when I emailed ARB, it was for the air-bag version. Paul |
